I recently got to photograph this beautiful soul, Celia D. Luna at The Warehouse Miami and we had a freaking blast! Celia is one of the most talented photographers I know, her portrait and editorial work is vibrant and inspiring. Every time I get together with her we have tons of laughter and fun. She is a true Artist. A strong centered Woman in her own right, full of life and vision.

“What is Boudoir?” I think about this question a lot. What is Boudoir? What does Boudoir Photography mean to me? What does this strong and beautiful Women that I get to photograph think about Boudoir? Boudoir is defined as a woman's bedroom or private room. Yet, Boudoir Photography is much more than that.

I’ve had an emotional week. I promised myself to be more open with you, to share with you without fear, and so I am here to do just that. This week has been a trying week for our family. We are embarking on a new chapter facing things we have never done. It is both exciting and nerve-wracking. As I write this post, my stomach is in knots and all I could eat today is a bowl of cereal. And then, here I am, reminded of the courage and strength every woman faces when they are in front of my lens. Believe it or not, each and every woman I have photographed has left a mark in me as an artist and a person. Their courage and strength follows me.

Her name is Shannon. She is a Wedding & Portrait Photographer and a wonderful human being. I first met Shannon early in 2018 while I was still Editor In Chief for Embrace Magazine. During our first meeting, we chatted nonstop about all things boudoir! You see, we both share a deep love for boudoir photography and the celebration of women in a positive light. So it was only natural that I wanted to collaborate with her and take my body study portraits outdoor to Coral Cave Beach in Jupiter, FL.

Shannon was in bloom. Not only was she newly flourishing, but she was also becoming. For this same reason, it was important that I captured her as one with herself and the Sea.
