When Connie first reached out to me, she shared with me, “I want to memorialize the woman I am becoming... in the midst of chaos comes beauty. That’s how I feel right now!” I loved to hear her say that, and I loved it even more that she wanted to memorialize her season of becoming with a portrait session.

Approximately six months before her birthday, Alexandra (Sandy) reached out to me with a clear desire of gifting herself a boudoir session to celebrate her 40th birthday. During our creative and preparation stage of her boudoir session, I asked her, what are you looking to discover about yourself during and/or after your session? and she answered, “celebrating being comfortable in my own skin.”

When I first received an inquiry from Celina at the beginning of 2019 and after not hearing back from her for months, I would have never thought that later in the year she would be reaching out again to finally book her boudoir session with me. During our call, one of the things she said to me was “I want to do this photoshoot where I see myself not as a mother or a wife, but as a woman…”

When it comes to boudoir sessions, there are a many things you can do to prepare. Together, you and I prepare every single detail about your shoot. During the many creative sessions we will have, you and I will discuss the location of your shoot, the mood of your boudoir session, hair, makeup, and we may even talk about what nail color you may want to decide on. But one of the most common questions I get asked is “what should I wear for my boudoir session?”
