Avery, Modern Portraits in Wynwood, Miami, Florida | Denice Lachapelle Photography
There is one thing I love the most about creating photos and that is the authentic portraits that are made between my subject and my camera.
Most of my sessions are just 1 to 2 hours long. That is a very short time to create a bond with someone.
Think about it.
Relationships take work and making connections with another human is HARD. I am a huge introvert and this has to be one of the most challenging and fulfilling part of my job as a photographer. To create connections with each and everyone of my clients, whether a family, a woman, or brand, is not only fulfilling to me, but also inspiring. And when the connections are just right and so fitting, we are able to create sessions that are one of a kind - and magical if I may say so!
These modern portraits of Avery were taking right above my studio in Wynwood. It was such a cool spur of the moment decision to head to the top floor of my studio and I am so glad we did. It is very rare to find locations that have a lofty feel in South Florida.
Although we were indoors we could still feel the humidity and heat of the summer day. Our only source of light was came from the open window. A simple breeze would join us from time to time. It was the perfect melody that added a touch of mood to these portraits.
