It was built to outlast storms.
Confession, I love capturing love. Years ago when I decided to brand myself as a Boudoir Photographer, I wasn’t sure that I would get to capture romantic love again. I never imagined that couples boudoir was even a thing - shocking, I know! When I learned of couples boudoir, I was never happy with how it was portrayed. When you Google “couples boudoir” you will get search results of so many different styles of photographs and posing that I just did not relate to as a photographer. It really made me sad in way. I wanted to capture the romantic sensuality between two souls without having it feel or look like they belonged in a xxx movie. From those sentiments, a desire to truly capture romance and sensuality in a timeless way grew out of me.
I am excited to finally blog this couples boudoir session of Erika and Lane today. I am of the thought that a boudoir session can really happen anywhere you want it. You don’t necessarily have to be in a bedroom or in a bed as we often see. Photographing Erika and Lane in my studio against a bare wall with lots of natural light was all I needed. I wanted to capture their interactions, physical touch, and those in-between moments that speak love without spoken words.

I Am Here To Tell Your Story
Boudoir extends to more than just taking a portrait of a woman in delicate lace lingerie. Boudoir portraiture is vulnerable. It seeks truth for both the artist and the muse. As a boudoir photographer, my heart’s desire has always been to create boudoir imagery that uplifts and inspires Women.
The connections I am able to make with Women are unforgettable. I believe that to feel the unknown is the most beautiful form of creation. Everyone has a gift within them. Something to give, a story to tell. I want to be there to capture your inner self and help tell that story.
