I’ve had an emotional week. I promised myself to be more open with you, to share with you without fear, and so I am here to do just that. This week has been a trying week for our family. We are embarking on a new chapter facing things we have never done. It is both exciting and nerve-wracking. As I write this post, my stomach is in knots and all I could eat today is a bowl of cereal. And then, here I am, reminded of the courage and strength every woman faces when they are in front of my lens. Believe it or not, each and every woman I have photographed has left a mark in me as an artist and a person. Their courage and strength follows me. So it was only right for me to share Sasha’s boudoir session with you this week because Sasha is the embodiment of courage and strength.

Sasha shares: “I did get nervous right before the session only because I had never done something like this before and I was insecure in my own body. However, after a few minutes into the session the jitters went away and I was laughing.”

I asked Sasha what would she say to her best friend about her boudoir experience, and she said: “I would tell her it's something every woman should try with the right photographer. I was lucky to know someone I already had worked with and to some people that would totally make it awkward after the fact but if you know Denice she makes you feel like she's known you for years and years and you absolutely feel relaxed with her.”
